Edutainment / Promotions Architect

James ComerAfter attending University, James moved to Los Angeles in 1974 where he excelled in tele-marketing sales and promotion.

Opportunities in advertising sales brought Comer to Phoenix, Arizona where he began his first promotions company ~ Old West Productions in 1979.

Over the next several years James created, produced or promoted a wide variety of special event services. These include music~arts festivals/ hotel big band events / theme dinner parties/ a "Service to Humanity" Ball for Jaycees/ civic group fund-raisers/ convention entertainment services/ sports events/ stunt shows/ media parties/ a Renaissance Marketplace for Arizona's Copenhaver Castle Foundation/ Salt River Cleanup pr/ Old West and Civil War re-enactments and more.

Other services include publicist, special souvenir program production, sponsorship package development, sales and lead programs, provide advertising specialties, and produce radio and tv spots.

1992 took James to New York City where he was involved with Security Systems marketing and promoted soirees and talent showcases. During this period James also researched and began his concept for the Love Arts Campaign.

The campaign concept includes an American Music Legacies series, a Charter Arts Club and other edutainment programs. James was twice a recipient of the Leonardo DiVinci Distinguished Artist Award from The Beaux Arts (Ball) Society.

The last few years James has been semi-retired and created countless pop art graphics and paintings. Subjects include Music Legends, Movie Stars, Film Caricatures and other.

James has also produced four books of his Love Arts and Movie Works illustrations and written two plays. Only some of his work is represented on this website and most available for purchase.
